Twin figures for West Cornwall: Goonhilly and the Porthcurno cable landings, counted from its layers at their stated dates.
For Robotics and autonomous systems: the faculty's twin of the Lizard and Penwith on the planet map, the globe and in 3D. Pick a generator, switch layers, run the instruments; every layer prints its provider and date.
Drag to move, right drag or Shift with a drag to turn and tilt, Ctrl with the wheel to zoom. Keyboard: arrows move, Shift with arrows turn and tilt, + and - zoom, 0 resets, V steps through the views, Escape clears.
Flat plan of the same data: relief as contours from the inline grid, the mapped ground infrastructure by kind, the mapped cables and the numbers below. The 3D twin opens on devices with WebGL once its data and library have been checked.
The map loads from this site as it nears the view (MapLibre 6.9.1, checked by hash).
The discipline teaches functional safety of machinery under IEC 61508, ISO 10218 and ISO/TS 15066, safety of the intended functionality for road vehicles under ISO 21448:2022 beside ISO 26262, operational design domains and minimal risk conditions, human-machine teaming, cyber-physical security and the liability and governance of autonomy; its instruments are hazard analysis, fault trees, failure mode and effects analysis and the scenario-based testing of an operational design domain. A graduate can define an operational design domain, derive the safety requirements and integrity levels for a machine's hazards, and write the safety case that a deployment in a stated environment rests on.
This area covers robots and autonomous systems that act in the physical world, from industrial and collaborative robots to autonomous vehicles, drones and uncrewed systems. It is taught in the department of Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems, Faculty of Technology and Digital Systems, through courses still to be authored.
8 subtopics, taught across its courses and labs.
Not yet taught by a course: Industrial automation and robotics safety; Autonomous vehicles, drones and uncrewed systems.

Achievements record learning completed here; they do not certify competence. How recognition works.
Cited as places where the subject is practised; the institutions named are sources here, and Risk Academy hosts every course.
Nexus Foundry system pages describe what each system and its rooms are designed to do; they are not a service on offer, and studying here gives no access to them.
Open courses in connected disciplines teach the methods this discipline will build on.
