Illustrative: branching futures, each branch weighted by its probability
Risk Academy, led by the Nexus Consortium · Programme / RAF 100 series
Core concepts every risk learner needs: hazards, exposure and vulnerability, resilience, risk governance, communication and the frameworks that organise practice.
Labs used: map lab in 10 courses, exposure lab in 5 courses, geo quiz in 3 courses, trigger lab in 2 courses, network lab in 2 courses, geoai lab in 2 courses.
Courses by study level, each with the course it builds on, the labs it uses and the faculty stage where its subject is practised.
How risk is defined and reasoned about, from the hazard and the exposed system to the decision. It introduces the framework families (ISO 31000 and COSO at the entity level, the Sendai Framework for disaster risk reduction, the Paris Agreement for transition) at the level a practitioner needs to read them, not to apply them unsupervised.
Who it is for. New risk professionals, people moving into a risk role from another field, and students.
What comes next. Most learners continue into the Technical stream for methods, or into a Nexus course on the sector they work in.

No source is enabled for live display on this site yet: the sources are listed for reference and none is queried. Once the publisher of record enables a source after its terms are reviewed, recent works are listed here. Metadata and links only: title, authors, venue, year, type, open-access status and licence as each source records them; works are listed for orientation, not reviewed or endorsed.
Nexus Reports is the Consortium's quarterly publication. What you know about this subject can become evidence, a case or a correction in the next edition, credited to you and published under CC BY 4.0 where it is your own work.
