Heat, smoke, vectors, water and health systems in a changing climate
WHO and the Lancet Countdown treat climate and health as one field, and the discipline does the same instead of scattering it across heat, air and disease.

Twin figures for Delhi and its National Capital Territory core, counted from its layers at their stated dates.
For Climate and health: the faculty's twin of Delhi on the planet map, the globe and in 3D. Pick a generator, switch layers, run the instruments; every layer prints its provider and date.
Drag to move, right drag or Shift with a drag to turn and tilt, Ctrl with the wheel to zoom. Keyboard: arrows move, Shift with arrows turn and tilt, + and - zoom, 0 resets, V steps through the views, Escape clears.
Flat plan of the same data: relief as contours from the inline grid, the WorldPop count grid as cells, the mapped hospitals and the numbers below. The 3D twin opens on devices with WebGL once its data and library have been checked.
The map loads from this site as it nears the view (MapLibre 6.9.1, checked by hash).
It teaches heat and health with heat action plans and the wet bulb globe temperature for work, extreme events and the disruption of health services, air quality and wildfire smoke under the WHO air quality guidelines of 2021, the climate suitability of vector-borne and water-borne disease, food and nutrition, mental health, and climate-resilient health systems with the co-benefits of cleaner energy. Delhi's heat on the faculty's stage is the running case. A graduate can read a heat-health warning, estimate attributable risk from a named dataset and plan the adaptation a clinic or a city needs.
This area brings together the health effects of climate change as one field: heat, extreme events, air quality and wildfire smoke, vector-borne and water-borne disease, food and nutrition, mental health and the resilience of health systems. It is taught in the department of Environmental and One Health, Faculty of Health and Society, through courses still to be authored.
