Twin figures for Houston and the Ship Channel, counted from its layers at their stated dates.
For Macroeconomics of climate and disasters: the faculty's twin of Houston on the planet map, the globe and in 3D. Pick a generator, switch layers, run the instruments; every layer prints its provider and date.

Flat plan of the same data: relief as contours from the inline grid, the plants by capacity, the industrial points by kind and the numbers below. The 3D twin opens on devices with WebGL once its data and library have been checked.
The map loads from this site as it nears the view (MapLibre 6.9.1, checked by hash).
The discipline teaches the empirical evidence on disaster impacts and recovery, climate damage functions and their wide uncertainty, fiscal risk and contingent liabilities, the IMF and World Bank work to bring climate into debt sustainability analysis, inflation from weather shocks, and central bank use of climate scenarios, among them the NGFS long-term scenarios and the short-term scenarios it published in May 2025. It reads small island and low-income economies as the hardest cases. A graduate can add a disaster shock to a debt projection, explain a damage function's assumptions and say what fiscal space a country needs.
This area covers how disasters and climate change affect growth, public finances, prices and monetary policy, and how macroeconomic models and fiscal frameworks represent them.
